Dumser's has been a part of the history of the Ocean City Boardwalk since 1939, selling its famous ice cream treats in stores along the ocean with a steadfast commitment to our customers.
So take a step back in time to an ice cream parlor of the 1940's and enjoy the old-fashioned tin ceilings, high back booths and ice cream counter service.

Dumser's Dairyland Restaurant
We ventured here twice during our week long stay. The first night we had food and ice cream. The second visit was just for ice cream. In a town where restaurants frequently try to be more than what they are, this place was exactly what it needed to be. Diner style menu with something for everyone. Simple plates and good food. The burger was simple and good. They served crinkle cut fries that seemed to be oven baked and not fried. My kids had chicken tenders and a hamburger. Both enjoyed their meals. My wife had a salad and she too enjoyed it.
The ice cream was excellent. One of the best I’ve had. Their small sundae is more than enough. Pick any of their ice creams, they give you a generous scope and then add whipped cream and a cherry. Milk shakes are great. Again a generous amount. My wife got soft serve in a waffle cone and it was more than she could finish. The sundaes come in an ice cold metal dish that helps keep the ice cream from rapidly melting.
Prices are fair. 4 meals, 4 drinks, and 4 ice cream desserts was about $75. In this town where everything is way overpriced this spot is excellent for families.

Dumser's Dairyland Restaurant
Dumser’s Dairyland Restaurant is one of the many places we always stop at while visiting Ocean City for the week. After a morning of miniature golf, we always stop here for lunch and ice cream.
Lori was our server this time and she was very good. For lunch, we started with the mozzarella sticks, and each of us had a cheeseburger. The mozzarella sticks are a little higher priced than most places ($18), but it is a generous portion and it includes fries in a basket . So quite understandable. The cheeseburger was cooked to perfection, tasty, and also included a large portion of fries. At only $13, I felt this was a great deal given the portions and quality. My daughter had a mint Oreo milkshake, and I appreciate the fact that they always bring you the leftover that does not fit in the glass. The menu itself for lunch and dinner is classic casual, American fare, including sandwiches, baskets, salads, and platters. A kids menu is also available with a great selection. Unfortunately, years ago, they removed the breakfast menu, which I thought was outstanding. Maybe one day it will return.
The motif of the restaurant reminds me of the old-style nostalgic diner and malt shop with counter and dine-in seating. Very well done. There is a window outside for people to walk up, place ice cream orders and sit on the patio to enjoy or head on their way. The ice cream is made fresh daily.
Overall, a great place to visit if only to dine in for a full meal, or stop by for ice cream. The ice cream flavors and dessert menu selections are numerous.
Enjoy
