Years ago I stayed at this hotel and had no complaints. Always praised how I enjoyed staying there. Rooms were nice, pool areas were nice/clean, employees were friendly, and the location was really good. Times have changed, my family stayed there recently and we had our fair share of problem. Room Air Conditioning wasn’t working and got the runaround for 2 days on it being fixed with the room being 77-80 degrees at night. Maintenance came up twice that I know of and tried fixing the problem. Due to the hotel being fully booked they were unable to move us to another room until the last night. All they were able to do was give us one box fan. I have stayed at other hotels in Ocean City Maryland where the air conditioning wasn’t working properly and the hotel brought in a portable Air Conditioner. That would have been an easy option due to the room having a window. Was told that I would be compensated for the inconvenience with paying full price for when the advertisement on booking.com says Air Conditioned rooms but I would have to go through booking.com due to me using them. Did all that work with filing the claim and days later the hotel denied it and said I never came down and told them there was a problem. If I didn’t come down and let them know there was a problem why did they move me to a new room the last day? Every time I went down and asked about the Air Conditioning (5 times in a matter of 2 days) the front desk was not very pleasant (day and night shift) with me and had an excuse that it was fixed or I had to tell day shift which I did. Inside pool area doesn’t look like it was cleaned in years. Rooms had stains on the ceiling from leaks on the floor above and wall paper was falling off the walls. Just got that feeling that the room was dirty. On the inside pool green algae is growing out and around the floor drains, glass ceiling/sunroom wasn’t cleaned in forever, and none of the floor drains around the pool worked so there was stagnant on the floor (our stay was in the middle of June). Times have changed at the Quality Inn & Board Walk. I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel when ya pay $1,200 for 3 nights and have these problems.

Definitely way outdated and over priced any more. Much better options close by for the same price and the tiki bar drinks are way sub par. Thankfully it was cool out for August because the gap in the front door was big and the showers are cold with no pressure. The pool did look clean but it’s overall definitely not worth what they charge however my husband smokes and they so have smoking areas all over so that’s a plus

TLDR: Poor rooms, much better options.
Bottom Line: The hotel needs to reinvest money into the rooms, urgently.
The Bad:
This is really the worst part. Old rooms that are dirty. Kitchen has rusty appliances, pasta noodles stuck in stove top, mold in the shower, bathroom vent fan falling off. Not to mention the AC was struggling, likely because it hasn't been cleaned in years. Dirty carpet floors, the TV inside is on the small end and ours was damaged.
The good:
Location is great! Parking is pretty good. Friendly staff... when you can find them. Free coffee near the lobby but its an instant coffee machine.
Unlikely I'll return here until some of the money is used to renovate the place. I've seen better motels.
